  • What is Flushing Bank Flexible Deposit?
    Flushing Bank Flexible Deposit provides the flexibility, and convenience of depositing checks into your Flushing Bank account anywhere. You can use your iPhone® or Android™ device, or your PC with a desktop scanner to deposit checks remotely.
  • How does it work? 
    Deposit your checks anywhere, anytime using the Flexible Deposit app for your iPhone® or Android™ device. You can also use a computer attached to a desktop scanner.
  • Who is eligible?
    Any Flushing Bank online banking customer with a personal checking, statement savings, or money market account is eligible. The account(s) must be in good standing.
  • Who should use Flexible Deposit?
    Any online banking customer with a personal checking, statement savings, or money market account should use Flexible Deposit to deposit paper checks.
  • How do I enroll?
    Log into online banking from your mobile device or PC, click the Flexible Deposit banner, then click the "Yes, Enroll Me" button. Your enrollment request will be processed within two business days. After you are enrolled you can download the Flexible Deposit app for your iPhone® or Android™ device, or use your PC with a desktop scanner to deposit checks remotely.
  • Is there a fee to use Flexible Deposit?
    There is no charge to use Flushing Bank Flexible Deposit, but the Bank’s standard account fees will apply and data and messaging rates may apply from your wireless provider.
  • Are there limitations on how many checks I can deposit? 
    There is no limit on the number of checks that can be deposited as long as the total dollar amount of your deposit does not exceed your limit.
  • What are the dollar deposit limits? 
    The current daily dollar limit is $1,500.00 per business day for consumer banking clients. In addition, the current monthly dollar limit is $25,000.00 per any 22 consecutive business day period.
  • What kind of accounts can I deposit to?
    You can deposit to any personal checking, statement savings, and money market accounts on which you are the owner of the account(s).
  • What kind of checks can I deposit?
    a. In general, checks that are made payable to you and drawn on a bank in the United States can be deposited.
    b. Third party checks, checks with missing/illegible information, altered checks, and foreign checks may not be deposited.
    c. Refer to our Terms and Conditions for a complete list of unacceptable items. 
  • How should the check be endorsed?
    Sign the back of the check and write "For deposit only". 
    Checks that are not properly endorsed may result in funds availability delays or rejection of the deposit.
    We also suggest making a notation on the check that it has been deposited to avoid accidental re-depositing of the same check.
  • How long should I keep the paper check? 
    Retain the check for at least 14 calendar days from the date of the image transmission. After 14 days, destroy the check, mark it "VOID", or otherwise render it incapable of further transmission, deposit, or presentment.
  • When will my deposited check appear in my account?
    Checks received and accepted before 5:00pm ET on a business day that we are open will appear in your account the next business day. Checks deposited after 5:00pm ET are considered as deposited on the next business day and will appear in your account in two business days.
  • When will my funds be available?
    Funds will generally be made available in three business days from the day of deposit if the deposit is received and accepted before 5:00pm ET on a business day that we are open. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for details. 
  • What if I need help when depositing a check?
    Flushing Bank Flexible Deposit is very easy to use and you will be guided with step-by-step instructions. If you need additional assistance you can call an Internet Banking Specialist at 800.581.2889.
  • Do I need special hardware or software? 
    To use the mobile apps either an iPhone or Android device is required. Special hardware or software is not required for the desktop application, but the following system requirements must be met:
    i. Computer hardware: 512 MB RAM, USB 2.0 Port, keyboard, mouse, monitor, TWAIN compliant scanner.
    ii. Computer operating system:Windows XP SP3 (32-bit), Windows Vista (32- and 64-bit), Windows 7 (32- and 64-bit), MAC OSX 10.5 and above. Note for Mac users: ONLY Twain-compliant scanners or an Ethernet-attached Magtek scanner are approved for use.
    iii. Computer software: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.5 or higher.
    iv. Browser: One of the following - Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher as a minimum (IE 7 or higher is recommended), Mozilla Firefox – latest version, Apple Safari – 3.0.4 or higher, Google Chrome – 2.0.172.39 or higher. The stated version numbers are our supported minimums for each browser type. However, we recommend updating browsers to the latest versions to take advantage of security and performance enhancements.
    v. Internet Connectivity: Any broadband or DSL type Internet access, with a minimum of 128Kbps download speed. Dial up access may be used, but system performance is not guaranteed.
