A new form of malware targets customers who attempt to log into financial websites. The malware displays a pop-up warning indicating the website is having technical problems and to call a help center. Attackers answer the phone pretending to be bank representatives and attempt to obtain the customer’s password. Once they have the password, they transfer money out of the customer’s account.
